Gum Book-
My original idea was to make a small book about the linear time periods of a person chewing gum and blowing bubbles. However, I decided to make an actual replica of the package of gum, and have the individual sticks of gum be the pages of the book. The pages are not in a linear order. Also the book interacts with the viewer, which creates another form of time, because the viewer has to actually unwrap the tinfoil in order to see the pictures.

Final Project-
For my final project I choose to make a book about gum. The concept is going to be about the time passing when a person is blowing a bubble. I am going to make the book, in the shape of a packet of gum. I am also going to create the pages so the reader will have to open the "pages of gum" to view the page. The materials I am going to use are tin foil and regular construction paper for the pages.

My book-
For my book I decided to make it into the shape of a flower, since the theme of the book is about fairies. The first page is of one fairy, who is dancing alone. Then the next page, when the person viewing the book turns the flower, is of two fairies. As the first fairy continues to dance and spin more and more fairies appear, until the final page, which has four fairies. Since the theme of the book is divergence, which means to move apart, the fairies are doing so. As the viewer turns the flower, the fairy spins, which results in more fairies. The interaction between the viewer and the book, is when he/she opens the box, and spins the flower around to view the pages.

Book-
For my book, since the theme is of convergence or divergence, I think I am going to make a scene of fairies dancing. I will start with one fairy and then at each rotation of the individual fairy another will appear. On each different page there will be another fairy in the same scene. I am thinking of also creating the book, in the shape of a pedal. I also had the idea of possibly trying to create some sort of pocket on each page, which will hide the dancing fairies, until you lift up the leaf, in order to add interest, and to also hide the fairies. For the front and back of the book I am thinking of create a collage of different flowers. I have a flower press, which flattens flowers, which will make it possible to create a collage. I am going to be using pastel colors throughout my book as well.

I chose to focus on the fairy tale side of mythology, in my sketches. In the sketch of Cupid I tried to use the trans-medial relationship, by using the phase "this is not love" on his arrow. In the other sketches I chose to relate them to fairies, and mermaids.

Chronology- Thinking Thin is the scene in which it shows events in a linear order. The different scenes show the order of events in time. The sequence of scenes shows herself thinking, shots were combined in order to show time line of event.
Scope (view of the camera perspective)- Apart is the scene which shows a good example of scope because it focuses on each character only. The frame only focuses on each other holding hands, in order to create the story and show importance. Also to show the relationship between them, the viewer only needs to know what is being shown in the picture frame.
